Friday, August 3, 7:30-10 pm – Klezmer Dance Party
Admission: $12
Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park
Remarks: Klezmer and classic Israeli dance party with live music provided by Majorly Minor
(they also will include Eastern European tunes.) Donna Frankel will help lead dances. Bring some
light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages to help make it a party, and tips for the band.

Saturday, August 4, 7:15-10:30 pm – August Peninsula Folk Dance Party
Admission: $9

Camps and Workshops:
July 22-July 29 – Stockton Folk Dance Camp
$535 for classes; food and lodging extra
University of the Pacific campus, Stockton
Plan ahead for this camp, where you can learn from master teachers the new trial dances for next
year and many others.

Tuesday-Sunday, August 2-5 – 2018 Summer Historical Dance Weekend
Admission: $75/half-day, $125/full-day, $425/entire workshop (reduced rates for students and
teachers also available). Room and board $150-$375 (various packages).
San Jose State University
Teachers include Jennifer Meller (Renaissance), Catherine Turocy (Baroque) and Richard
Powers with Joan Walton assisting (19th century and early 20th century) - more than 20 classes,
dance parties, lectures, and other events. All levels welcome!

Dancing In The Streets – On some Sundays, from July to October, the BAM/Pacific Film
Archives will be showing free dance movies on their outdoor screen at the rear of the building,
on Addison & Oxford. Here's the schedule; all shows are at 4:00 p.m.
