So, what’s a Ceilidh?

A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a Scottish party, an evening of lively, informal traditional Scottish dancing to Scottish music.

Ceilidh dancing is different from Country Dancing in that it is much less formal, much simpler, done by everyone, age 1 to 100, and the primary purpose is to have fun.

Ceilidhs are popular in Scotland and often attract several hundred people.
